Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) of Bamenda have secured the return of Justin Kamgue ahead of their MTN Elite One championship relegation play-off cliffhanger against Djiko FC of Bandjoun.
We understand the club completed negotiations and penned a short-term contract with the experienced trainer who returns to Bamenda where he previously worked for the city’s main clubs PWD and YOSA.
Kamgue, former coach of Djiko FC himself returns to YOSA where he worked in 2016 and is expected to add value to Anumewa Franklin’s staff in the crucial fixture.
The trainer has joined the players at work in Bamenda while waiting for FECAFOOT to announce the date and venue for the event.
YOSA endured a tough season in the MTN Elite One championship – winning just six of their 20 league games which earned them an unwanted spot in the relegation play-off.
Fans and stakeholders of the Yellow Submarine are hoping coach Kamgue keeps the club in the top-flight for the 14th season running.
YOSA was promoted to the division in 2009 and have been pacesetters since then. Unfortunately this season failed to live up to its billing.
Coach Kamgue had a similar mission on the bench of Stade Renard of Melong.
