Cameroon International, Martin Hongla, has been recognized as player of the Month of April for first division Spanish club, Real Valladolid.
The midfielder been rewarded for his fine performance and contribution since he arrived Spain and fits perfectly in his new role as defense man.
Hongla who is on loan to Real from Italian Serie A club Hellas Verona, was switched to the role of central defender and the club has confirmed a weight reinforcement at this compartment.
Despite losing his father in April this year, Hongla was not left out in action. He participated in Valladolid’s 2-1 win against Villarreal in match day 29 of La Liga.
Hongla’s Real Valladolid beat Girone 1-0 last Saturday to move to the 14th spot on the classification table, 5 points away from the relegation zone.
This commitment alone earned the respect of many coupled with his input in the club’s performance as he has brilliantly ensured the defensive stability of his team.
The Cameroonian midfielder has hardly failed to impress since his arrival, a performance which has seduced the Spanish club who are now keen on making him stay permanently.
