Lekie football Filles, have asserted their dominance over Caiman Filles, defeating them 8-1, in the semi-finals of the women’s cup of Cameroon.
Raissa Nnanga netted four goals, coupled with one each from Nicole Njock , Mogai, with Brenda Tabe driving home two to complete scores at the Ahmadou Ahidjo’s sports complex on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
Monkam Henriette’s consolation for Caiman at the 55th minute of play did little or nothing to salvage their pride.
The game was far too tough for Caiman Filles de Douala. As early as the first minutes of play Raissa Nnanga had given Lekie the lead with Nicole Njock making it two, five minutes later.
The search for an equalizer by the Douala-based outfit opened the flood gates for more goals. Brenda Tabe used three minutes to complete her brace.
Mogai got a fair chance at goal after 33 minutes of play, As Raissa Nnanga lived up to her highest goal scoring record in the Guinness super league, by adding two more goals, to close the first 45 minutes.
The second half will see Monkam Henriette show character for Caiman, scoring their lone goal of the encounter, however it won’t be enough to turn things around.
Lekie football filles is off to her first Cameroon cup finals. They meet with AS Fortuna, who saw off regional side Sporting AC 6-1, in the first semi-final fixture.
