Buh Confidence Bongben of FAP Amazone got tipped woman of Guinnessico on matchday 7 as they beat Eding Filles in a two goals without response victory.
Buh’s brilliant performances couldn’t be ignored despite not being on the score sheet. He was a threat from the wings and a game changer with numerous chances created giving her side constant control of the game.
The nominee for the revelation of the season in last year’s balon d’Or night told Kick442.com that the award gives her fulfillment and it is hard work paying off.
“I am elated and gratified after getting my first award of woman of Guinessico after playing the league for two years. I was really fulfilled and above all am grateful to My God because He actually fulfilled his promises to me. It gives me alot of happiness that my hard work is not in vain and is seen.”
This was the first win of the season for FAP Amazone and definitely a great motivation to Confidence and her entire team.
“Given it is our first win in the championship, I am really contented, stirred, moved also grateful to God for our first victory. Despite the fact that we started the championship with a wrong note, it was really discouraging but we kept working, I for one I believed that God was going to do something no matter what. This victory has actually given strength to work even harder to get better results in our up coming matches and it has arisen in me much faith in God.”
Talking to Confidence in relation to their bad start to the season, her reaction was definitely one to write home about.
“I won’t actually tell what has really been the cause of the winless run of my team/club. In a nutshell I will proudly say we have a very good squad, good Coaching staff, training not taken with any negligence, extreme hard work and physically fit but as it showed the season did not actually favor us after all the potentials we’ve got. Even the Bible says there’s a time for everything under the sun so I simply believe this season was meant to be this way for a start.”
Being motivated with the turn to a favorable page for Confidence and her team she has set a tempting target for the season.
“My target is to be the best goal scorer for this season. It is my heart desire and I believe strongly I can still do it in the remaining matches. I know it’s not reputable for an attacker to play 7 matches and has no goal but I believe if it’s the will of God I will achieve my goal for this season no matter what.”
It’s all new energy in the camp of FAP Amazone and they are definitely gutted and boosted to show us who they really are in the Guinness Super League.
“For this season despite the poor start I still see my team at the top and I have this unbeatable faith in me that we can still get to the top, that is to say emerge champions” concluded Confidence.
Confidence happens to be one of the Guinness Super League players that were called up to camp in preparation for the women’s FIFA World Cup playoffs. She didn’t make the final list but definitely that’s a time teller of the caliber of player she is.
