UNIFFAC 2023: Under-17 Lions enter camp next week

Holders of the men’s Under-17 UNIFFAC title – Cameroon will enter camp in preparations for their 2018 title defense and the 2023 zonal tournament planned for next month on home soil.

According to kick442.com sources coach Jean Pierre Fiala will publish a list of players in the days ahead and the team will assemble on Monday December 26, to start preparations for the tournament.

The Cameroon camp which opens on Monday will group a number of players subject to passing the usual IRM test to ensure their availability for the tournament.

This camp will run till the start of the tournament on January 5 in Limbe.

Cameroon of Ekoi Manfred, Steve Mvoue, Alioum Moubarak saw off Equatorial Guinea on penalties to emerge champions of the last edition of the competition in December 2018 in Malabo.

This time around the new generation will compete with five other nations in Limbe from January 2023.

Champions and the runners up the tournament will qualify for the finals scheduled for April 2023 in Algeria.

Central African Republic, Chad, DR Congo players are also focused on the preparations for the tournament.
