  • Tufoin Juliet hasn’t feature in the Guinness Super League for close to seven months
  • Juliet was sanctioned after Eding Sport protest her qualification during a Guinness Super League game in March this year
  • FC Ebolowa won an appeal against the player and club’s sanction
  • The player is cleared to resume football this weekend while FC Ebolowa recovers the three points deducted last season

FC Ebolowa have been cleared of all wrongdoing by the homologation and disciplinary committee of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT).

According to a release which surfaced on social media this Tuesday, October 17, the same commission that had sanctioned FC Ebolowa citing irregularities in the identity of their forward Tufoin Juliet has reversed their decision.

Origin of the matter

Tufoin has been out of action since after scoring the winner in the Guinness Super League championship game against Eding Sport.

The losers wrote a protest on the day of the game, stating that Tufoin had been their player with another identity. A call which the player rejected though she accepted having a past relationship with the club but denied colluding in identity change.

FC Ebolowa decided to appeal the sanction and follow up with a number of evidences to clear the name of their player.
The final hearing took place in July this year and a favorable verdict has been published.

FC Ebolowa have been handed the three points as they didn’t find Tufoin guilty of any wrongdoing. The teenager has been cleared to return to competition.

Tufoin missed the best part of last season while waiting for the verdict. She has been cleared to continue playing.

Before the decision, the skillful forward had signed a new one-year deal with FC Ebolowa.

The former Vision Sports of Bamenda striker will return to Guinness Super League activities this weekend away to Louves Minprof.

Oudou Kpomie’s team will be looking to improve on their third place finish achieved last season.
