Nigeria U-20 women national team, Falconets will officially kick off the road to the 2024 women’s football global events as they will begin the five-rounds qualifying tournament for CAF region this October.

The second round fixtures will see Nigeria battle Mauritius in a double legged tie in Saint Pierre on 8 October with the return leg scheduled to hold at MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja on 14 October.

Meanwhile NFF has announced that two-times quarterfinalist, Coach Christopher Danjuma will lead Falconets’ course to the World Cup for the third time in a row.

He will be assisted by former U-20 and U-17 women’ assistant coach Mansur Abdullahi, and former Super Falcons’ midfielder Effioanwan Ekpo while Yahaya Audu has been saddled with goalkeeper trainer responsibility.

This group will be largely dominated by players from the recently concluded WAFU Zone B U-20 Women’s Cup in Ghana. However, the official players list will be announced in the shortest time and camp resumption will follow suit.
