Teteh Edwin joins crack ISOHSA staff

Saturday, October 14, Limbe, Cameroon – Newly-promoted MTN Elite 2 side Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have secured the services of coach Teteh Edwin Ukpa on a one-year-deal, kick442.com has exclusively gathered.

According to our sources, coach Teteh reached an agreement with the club’s management this week and signed a contract which employs him as the club’s lead fitness coach and video Analyst.

Coach Teteh recently picked up a Video Analyst certification via a training program organized by the Cameroon national football Academy (ANAFOOT) and will put the knowledge to the service of his new club.

The 43-year-old arrives from the NQSA, where he spent five years as the club’s Head of Performance, fitness and later head coach – achieving a significant improvement in players performance and fitness.

Though the club didn’t have major injury cases last season, ISOHSA management had previously taken the commitment to look at his side’s training and medical methods going into their first season in the professional championship.

It is thought that the erstwhile Mount Cameroon will help modernise their injury prevention methods at their training ground and during matches.

The former Dynamic of Buea fitness specialist will improve the players fitness, performance and offer more to the technical staff, including his know-how as a Video Analyst.

Coach Teteh, once of Little Foot FC will work in collaboration with the technical and medical staff to ensure players stay fit throughout the marathon MTN Elite 2 season despite the competition’s demanding schedule.

Coach Teteh achieved the semi-final of the Southwest Regional Championship and the 32nd final of the Cup of Cameroon last season at NQSA, with many commending his team’s fitness across the season.

The holder of a FIFA Licensed Certificate as Fitness Coach & other CAF Licenses in fitness issues joins the ISOHSA backroom team led by coach Nlend Ayme – the club’s head coach during their promotion campaign.

Besides being an on the football team trainer, coach Teteh, noted for his Christian life, is a senior Physical Education instructor under Cameroon’s ministry of Sports and Physical education.

The club is expected to announce the arrival of coach Teteh and other new recruits in the days ahead.

ISOHSA begin their season at home to Bafmeng United on a date to be announced by the Cameroon Technical Transitional Committee in charge of professional football (CTFP).
