Isle of Hope sports Academy are champions of the South west region for the first time of making their debut in this stage of the competition, thanks to Dieudonne Onega Nkongho who came of the bench to score the second half goal.

On two occasions, Ivan Vachet squandered goal scoring a opportunity that may have seen ISOHSA take the lead in this final encounter, yet he shot at goal in hurry and missed the target.

Kumba City would have taken the lead deeep into the first segment if Mistro Keugoue didn’t score from an offside position.

The heated first segment elapsed with no goal from either side.

Coach Aimé Nlend carried out his first substitution by bringing out Brandon Babo and Vachet for midfield sensation Wilson Joseph and Onega Nkongho.

It was Onega who gave ISOHSA the lead four minutes into the second segment, from a rebounce after goalkeeper Dyam A Djam Enzo’s save got to his legs.

Onega is a substitute who has been noted for his goal scorings when few minutes after he is brought in. This is his second goal in this stage of the competition as a substitute.

At this point Kumba City became more determined in getting the equalizer knowing fully well they were in danger against a side who boast of a prolific attack and defense compartment.

Their efforts weren’t enough to outsmart ISOHSA who carried the day, a clear indication of hard work and determination since the start of the league.
