Che Malone Fondoh Junior has been released from hospital and returned to his home following a nasty car crash this Sunday morning while he was returning from the Airport in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
Che, who has played seven times for the Simba SC, and his friend, who had come to visit him from Cameroon crashed into a wall as they were trying to dodge a bike rider at Mikocheni.
Both men were transported to the TMJ hospital, but latest developments have it that they have been discharged and Che was unhurt per a message from the Simba SC communication department.
“He is safe and will be training tomorrow to prepare for the upcoming CAF Champions League game against Power Dynamos.”
The club statement corroborated with Emergency services at the site that initially confirmed there were no major injuries, but declared the care undrivable.
Che, who has spent the past two seasons at Cotonsport and won everything before switching to Simba had enjoyed a good start to his time in Tanzanian football, helping his club achieve results.
The absence of Che is the last thing coach Robertino will want to hear at the moment. His primary defensive partner, Henock Inonga picked up a bad injury during their last league game this week against Coastal Union.
