The Teranga lions of Senegal will host the dessert foxes of Algeria in a friendly game at the newly constructed Abdoulaye Wade stadium, on September 12, 2023

The game which will close the FIFA international window for that period will be a repeat of the 2019 Africa cup of nations finals in Egypt.

Aliou Cisse and Djamel Belmadi’s sides have already secured an AFCON 2023 ticket to Côte d’Ivoire with this game serving as a test and preparations for the world cup qualifiers.

After a round of 16 exit at the world cup, Senegal has had the opportunity to meet with Mozambique and Benin in an AFCON qualifying game, before defeating Brazil 4:2 in the José Alvalade stadium on the 20th of June in a friendly encounter.

As for the desert foxes, the first part of 2023 has been crowned with the Africa cup of nations qualifiers against Niger and Uganda, with their lone friendly being against Tunisia.

Other Africa friendlies scheduled for September include ;

Egypt vs. Tunisia,
Morocco vs. Burkina Faso.
