  • Damac FC oversaw a comfortable 2-0 victory against Al Khaleef
  • Cosmin Contra’s men scored either side of half time to win the encounter
  • Georges Kevin Nkoudou and Farouk Chafaï both got on the score sheet at the Mohammed Bin Fahd stadium

Georges Kevin Nkoudou struck yet again, against Al Khaleef and Algerian defender Farouk Chafaï got the other goal to help their club, Damac FC to a 2-0 win on Saturday, in match day eight of the Saudi Arabia Professional football league.

Visitors, Damac FC enjoyed the exciting crowd on the night at the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd stadium, while ensuring they gave their all to give the traveling fans a first win of the season.

Damac FC could have scored more than two goals on the night if they were a little more efficient in the final third

Visitors, Damac FC put themselves in front two minutes from the break as Nkoudou rounded the keeper to score the opener.

The Cameroon international could have doubled his tally moments later but couldn’t get the ball out from under his feet after doing well to create space in the Al Khaleef box.

Farouk had a half chance to put daylight between both sides just after the interval and made the most of the opportunity, scoring the second.

At 2-0 Damac looked to be in full control and headed for another three points, except the host pulled something spectacular.

Both teams rang a host of changes in the game, hoping to achieve a contradictory objective of shutting the game for Damac and recovering for Al Khaleef.

Neither side created any notable opportunities for the remainder of the match with Damac running out comfortable winners.

Nkoudou’s goal is his third in six starts this season as he continues to show his class since his switch from Beşiktaş.

Damac deserved their win with Nicolae Stanciu involved in both goals. Nkoudou’s opener was his 3rd Saudi Pro League goal of the season. He was replaced by Abdulaziz Majrashi a few minutes from time.

Damac are down in 12th, 13 points behind leaders Al Hilal after seven rounds of matches so far.
