Remo Stars forward, Sikiru Alimi has emerged as the highest-paid player monthly in the Nigeria top-flight football league.
With N1.3 million Naira, approximately 826 dollars monthly salary, the forward tops the list of highest-paid players in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
He is followed by Rivers United captain, Nyima Nwagua.
Nwagua earns N750,000 ($477) monthly salary tied with Bendel Insurance’s Kelly Kester with N750,000 ($477).
Former Remo Stars player and Sporting Lagos star, Junior Lokosa is the fourth highest-paid player in the Nigeria league with N700,000 ($445).
Meanwhile, after Matchday 23, Lobi Stars top the league table with 42 points, ahead of Plateau United (41 points), Enugu Rangers (40 points), Remo Stars (39 points), and Enyimba FC (39 points).
Remo Stars have played 22 games and have an outstanding match with Rivers United.
At the other end of the table is Heartland FC with 19 points behind Niger Tornadoes (24 points), Akwa United (24 points), and Gombe United (25 points).
