Cameroonian forward Ngah Ronald Wanja, scored and provided two assists as promotion chasing Al Khor picked up a resounding 4-1 win at home to Al Bidda on Monday.

The game week 9 second tier championship clash of top half clubs ended up being an easy win for the hosts thanks to the experienced goal scoring import from Cameroon.

Goals from Ngah, Alex Galvez, Jugurtha Hamron and Ismail Al-Haddad did the job as the Knights of Al-khor opened a four points lead atop the championship.

Alex put the host ahead just under the half hour mark, rewarding them for their efforts in the opening 27 minutes.

Al Khor could have scored more or even conceded, but preserved their one goal cushion till the interval.

Ngah and his mates returned for the second half as a better side as reflected by the performance and final score.

Al-Khor had Ngah to thank in the 50th minute as he turned home a square ball that met him just outside the box to make it 2-0.

Hamroun and Ismail scored within the next quarter of an hour, both thanks to assists from Ngah as the hosts completely deflated their visitors.

Though Al Bidda was able to pull one back late into the game, league leaders Al Khor held on for a comfortable 4-1 win.

The victory tightens their grip at the top of the league as they are four points ahead of Muather after eight games each.

Ngah joined Al Khor last month but he already counts two goals and two assists in three games.

The former Cotonsport striker could stir the club’s promotion to the Qatar Stars League if he keeps his scoring boots on.

Al Khor will face Umm Salal in their next commitment which is an Emir cup fixture.
