Re-baptized Babo Brandon living up to expectation at 2023 National Interpools

Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have built their strong run in the 2023 National Interpools on the foundation of a potent front line led by lethal finisher Babo Brandon who showed his class in match day three against Sporting FC of Maroua.

Babo in just his second start in the competition scored a brace as the Limbe outfit outclassed their opponents from Maroua by 5-0 to extend their unbeaten run in the competition to three games.

Babo’s close range header midway into the first-half and a great finish upon a fine run in the second segment made him the first ISOHSA striker to score twice in a single Interpools game and took his tally for the season to 11 goals.

The two goals in three games striker has formed a fine finisher reputation since coach Nlend Ayme made him a forward at the start of the current season. He could be his club’s focal point upfront this Sunday when the Southwest Regional League champions set out in search of a second victory at the Interpools and 18th win 24 games in all competitions this season.

ISOHSA are currently ranked second in Pool A with five points from three games. Babo and his mates need to be at their best to get a point against Nyom II in the lunch time kick-off to ensure they reach a maiden semi-final in their debut national interpools competition.

Babo, Nlend Afafa and Veron Agbor formed a good partnership last time out, but it remains to be seen how coach Nlend deploys his troops for the Nyom battle.
