Rangers of Bafut star defender and captain played the full 90 minutes in his team’s 1-0 win to Regional rivals Foncha Street FC despite the death of his newborn son just days earlier.

kick442.con gathered from Kosi Foot Talk that the defender made a fitting tribute to his son who died during birth three days earlier.

Mungala put in a shift to stop the Foncha Street frontline before lifting up his shirt to reveal an undershirt which read, “RIP son.”

The gesture from the Rangers defender at the University of Bamenda stadium caught the eyes of many including Foncha Street fans and neutrals.

Mungala has been the mainstay in the Rangers’ backline in the past two years.

Even the demise of his son didn’t bend the ‘strong man’ on whose shoulder lay the responsibility of keeping it tight at the back so Rangers survive relegation and his wife remains strong through this tough moment.
