  • Match day six of the MTN Elite two championship has come to a close with Rangers of Bafut losing by 1-5 to Djiko FC of Bandjoun.
  • 28 goals were scored, with Djiko registering the highest win of the day
  • Leopard Sportive and Rangers FC are yet to win a game

With 11 points in six outings, Aigle du Moungo leads group A in Cameroon’s second flight, elite two. The team neutralised last position Renaissance de Ngoumou 2-0 on Saturday in Bonamoussadi.

Ahmadou Bello gave the hosts the lead at the 31st minute. Frederick Banga extended scores after 62 minutes of play to see Aigle continue its fine form.

Away from home, Bafmeng United had a stellar ride over Racing of Bafoussam. Dauda Yakubu’s goal scored at the 44th minute made the difference in the encounter as Racing suffered a second consecutive defeat.

Sister club Foncha Street had an edge over Unisport, 2-1 in front of home crowd thanks to goals from Emango Zidane Junior, and John Njong while Raul Pafong got Unisport’s goal

In Yaounde, Tonnere Kalara Club outsmarted YAFOOT in a highly contested match day six fixture. The team scored three to cancel Yafoot’s two goals.

Group B sees Rangers of Bafut still in troubled waters. 1-5 loss to big brothers Djiko is their second heavy loss this season. The club managed by Charlemagne Mbongo has now concede 17 goals and scored two.

Another side with worst stats is Leopard Sportive of Douala, a 100 years anniversary looms with possible relegation if things do not change in the days ahead. The Douala based side counted its fifth defeat of the season away to Dragon in Yaounde. 2-4 is the score that separated both sides.

AS FAP scored late to share spoils with Panthere Sportive in a four goal thriller.

As for Isle of Hope Academy, it is two defeats far from home. The boys of coach Nyend Ayme conceded four goals scoring none to tough contender Eding Sport de la Lekie.
