Pascal Eboussi joins Dande Junior at Vita

DR Congo giants AS Vita Club have completed their signing of f 26-year-old experienced Cameroonian defender, Desire Pascal Eboussi Mekongo on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Eboussi who joins from Greek second tier side SFK Pierikos was unveiled as a Dauphin Noir player on Sunday at the club’s headquarters in Kinshasa as the cup winners embark in the process of strengthening their squad ahead of next season.

The former Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and Saint Antonio defender reached an agreement to return to the continent after weeks of negotiation with officials of Vita Club.

The acquisition of the former Al Mereikh and MFK Vyškov 1.98m sweeper means he becomes the second Cameroonian on their books, joining Junior Dande who keeps their goal and have compatriot Lukong Bongaman as their trainer.

Vita Club that won the Congolese Cup less than two weeks ago will participate in the CAF Champions League in the coming season – having finished just behind Mazembe in the domestic championship.

In a related development, Burkina Faso international Lamine Ouattara with whom Eboussi traveled to Kinshasa has also joined coach Amadou Diaby’s squad for the coming season.
