54 Year-old Idrissou Bouba, the Stadium Director of the Roumde Adja stadium in Garoua has died while in prayers away in Mecca.

Reports reaching us from Equinox head of Sports Desk Nana Paul Sabin have it that Mr Bouba died on Friday while completing his prayers while away in Mecca for pilgrimage.

The INJS graduate was one of 6000 Cameroonians that journeyed to Mecca for the annual hadj season reserved for muslims under the guidance of Cameroon’s minister of Territorial administration Paul Atanga Nji.

Bouba was a passionate Sportsman with a very receptive lifestyle towards everybody whenever the Roumde Adja stadium had an event. He contributed massively to the success of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and multiple other CAF events, providing arguably the best pitch in the country.

It’s unclear whether his mortal remains will be laid to rest in Mecca or brought back home for the last honour to a man who gave his all for Cameroonian football.
