- FECAWrestling schedule busy weekend for Athletes in the Centre Region
- Over 15 Athletes will compete for honours this in an end of year event for wrestlers in the center Region
Wrestlers drawn from clubs and institutions of the Centre Regional Wrestling Federation will descend to the battle ground this weekend to compete for various prizes and improve their competitiveness.
The event planned to include the Junior, Senior and Cadet categories will be broken down into different weight categories, ranging from 51KG to 97KG.
The event expected to last throughout Sunday will begin this Saturday with a Technical Conference at the Yanthe Multi Sports Academie at 2pm, after which there will be briefing on the regulations of the competition, before engagement of clubs and the competition’s draw.
The mass congregation of athletes and competition will start as early as 9:30AM on Sunday and run till the end of the day with winners expected to receive various prizes.
The Center Regional Wrestling Federation has put together a number of partners and sponsors expected to bankroll and ensure Christmas gifts get to the home of all participants in the last weekend of November.
The Center Region, Southwest, Littoral amongst others have dominated the provision of Athletes for the national bureau over the years and events of this sort will only help produce more while promoting the discipline.
Wrestlers who have represented Cameroon in international competitions in the past years have been outstanding though things have been timid in recent times due to lack of initiatives like this weekend’s and more.
