Immaculate FC attacker Omosebi Babatunde Dayo, who was loaned to Inter Lagos FC until the end of the 2023–2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, had a chat with kick442.com on Saturday 3rd February after their week 10 match against Osun United FC, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

In the interview, he told us about how he got to inter Lagos FC and his plans for the future.

When asked about his new club, he has this to say: “I came on loan to Inter Lagos FC to help myself and to help the team.” I can still remember vividly when the director of my team (Immaculate FC) called me last year to say that I would be going to Lagos to play for Inter Lagos FC. Inter Lagos was not my destination as I was expecting my invitation and contract documents from a team in the Czech Republic. Early that year, I travelled to the Czech Republic, did trials with a club, and passed the trials. The club management promised to send all my documents so I could  join the team in the upcoming winter transfer window, but things did not go as planned, so I was advised to join Inter Lagos FC on loan.”Inter Lagos is like home now, and I’m happy I made the decision to come here. I have adapted to the club now and I love my teammates and the fans here. although at first, it was not easy because I was still thinking about my proposed deal in Czech, but by God’s grace, I tried to face the reality of life, so I moved on”

When asked about his relationship with his coach at Inter Lagos FC, the attacker wasted no time in appreciating the coach. “What can I say? Coach Gabriel is a good coach and also a psychologist. He will always call me to advise me to concentrate more on the game, and he ensures I improve every day in the game. He is like a father and a good friend to me, and yet we still have a professional relationship with one  another”

Since you joined Inter Lagos FC, they have not lost any game. What can you say about that? “People say I brought good luck to the team since I put on the Inter Lagos jersey, we have not lost any game. We have played 7, won 5, and drew 2, and am happy to be part of these good runs, but I think all the glory should go to God Almighty, the team management, all my teammates, the fans, and most especially Coach Gabriel for believing in me and for giving me the opportunity to wear the Inter Lagos shirt.”I came to Inter Lagos FC to win games and make history with the team. I promise to give my best whenever I put on the Inter Lagos jersey. I have scored only two goals so far and a couple of assists, but my desire is to score more goals and win more games for Inter Lagos FC.”

When asked where he will play next season, he has this to say: “The only thing I know now is that I am a player of Immaculate FC that is loaned to Inter Lagos FC. I want to enjoy my time at Inter Lagos FC and try to make history with the team.” I believe there are good offers waiting for me by the end of the season, but for now, I am focused on Inter Lagos FC and do not worry about any speculation or transfer rumours about me.”

Inter Lagos FC are second on the log in Group B with 17 points behind Ikorodu City with 18 points.
