Olivier Ntcham’s goal and Assist ends Swansea seven game winless streak

Cameroon’s international Olivier Ntcham has scored his first goal of the year in Swansea City’s two nil win over Bristol’s city at the English Football League Championship last Sunday.

The 27-year-old who had been without a goal since November 8 was instrumental for the Welsh setting Liam Cullen for the first goal deep into the first half before completing the second at the 77th minute.

The Swans who were 4th just two months back had suffered bad luck having just three wins in 21 games. They badly needed this victory inorder to avoid the relegation battle.

Their determination was perceived 15 seconds into the game with Joel Piroe sending a shot wide. Possession was largely on the side of the Welsh with efforts from Harry Darling and Liam Walsh blocked by the Visitors.

The host finally got the chance at the 34th minute With Olivier Ntcham setting Cullen for his seventh goal of the season.

Bristol city efforts of a comeback proved futile, with Ntcham putting the game to rest 13 minutes to full time.His first since November 8,2022.

Swansea city now places 16 on the points table with 46 points, two points less than Bristol City who have 48 points, occupying the 14th position.
