The 2023 Ogun State FA Cup draw will hold this week at the state capital.
In a circular signed by Ogun State Football Association (OGSFA) Secretary, Elder V.O. Idowu on Monday to clubs, the draw will hold on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
The State FA Secretariat at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta will host the draw by noon.
Clubs from Remo, Ijebu, Yewa, and Egba divisions of the state are expected to go into the draw.
The winner of the State FA Cup known as the “Federation Cup” will represent the state at the national finals.
Last year, Champions, Ijebu United, and Remo Stars represented the state at the national finals.
Ijebu United defeated Remo Stars on penalties in the final match played at Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.
The national competition last year was inconclusive and it is hoped that this year’s edition will be conclusive under the new President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
