Newly-promoted MTN Elite 2 championship side Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) have offered a new two-year-deal to their midfield maestro Ivan Berthauld Yatchet.

Berthauld joined the ambitious club last season from Sims of Bafoussam and played a telling role in the Limbe side’s promotion to the second tier, despite only being on board for half of the glorious season.

“Here to stay🤍💚
Ivan Berthauld Yatchet will boss our midfield for another two seasons after agreeing to a first pro deal with our club. Ivan played a telling role in our unforgettable 2023 season,” a club statement announcing the deal announced this Friday.

President Karl Mokake expressed the club’s his satisfaction about reaching an agreement with the player.

“It wasn’t easy to get to this point but both institutions need each to keep developing.” – Pdt Karl Njomo Mokake

“I am happy to stay and live the new challenge with this great club. I can’t wait to get back to the field with my mates” – Ivan stated.

The 19-year-old former Victoria United FC playmaker is expected to provide more spark to the ISOHSA attack next season as they delve into a new territory.

Ivan scored the winner in the 1-0 win against Istanbul FA in the first-leg semi-final of the Southwest Regional championship and provided the assist for the club’s first goal at the 2023 national interpools.

In all, he made four assists in 12 appearances for the current national interpools champions.
