2019 U17 AFCON winner, Ekoi Manfred has completed a switch to Bamboutos FC of Mbouda from Yong Sport Academy (YOSA) of Bamenda on a two-year-deal.
He joins the Mangwa Boys as replacement for Patrick Kibyen as a free agent after his contract with YOSA expired last month.
It is rumored that, Kibyen has joined former coach Yves Clement Arroga at newly promoted Elite one club, Dynamo of Douala ahead of the next football season.
Ekoi, 21, joins the current Cameroon vice champion after a poor season spent in Bamenda with YOSA who survived relegation via the playoffs.
Bamboutos who finished second this season, are strengthening their squad ahead of the 2023/24 Elite one football season, as seen in a couple of convincing signings made so far.
The 2022 Super Cup champions had a fair just-ended season, having finished second from their pool to eventually emerge runners-up of the league.
The capture of the ex Best Stars Academy and UP Langreo keeper is one of their best business so far.
