Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have secured the future of exciting potential indomitable Lions of Cameroon forward Albert Tiku Egbe for the coming season.
kick442.com understands the move was completed late last week and the club will announce it in the hours ahead. This brings an end to interest from Canon Yaounde, Stade Renard, PWD of Bamenda, Cotonsport, Bamboutos FC, Colombe of Dja among others.
The forward, who joined ISOHSA from Destiny Restoration Sports Academy as an 18-year-old in 2022 had a breakthrough season under coach Nlend Ayme.
Last season, Tiku scored 11 goals in all competitions, including five at the national interpools to earn the best scorer and best player awards, having arrived at the August event as the most valuable player in the Southwest Regional championship.
Tiku was courted by a number of clubs, some of them held talks with the player and ISOHSA officials, but couldn’t put forth a convincing sports development plan for the player.
The player’s decision to stay enhances his chance to continue his development in the environment that has given him maximum trust and confidence so far in his career.
Tiku is expected to play a key role in ISOHSA’s first-ever Elite 2 season when the championship commences as planned on October 14.
The former EEMSA 22 forward will join his mates in training this week as pre-season training at the Limbe Community Field.
