With the highest number of goals scored after three match weeks, match week three continued the 2022/2023 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership season trend of more home wins.

Four out of six teams won their home games with an away win and a drawn game.

Below are the major statistics for the match week.

1 – Edo Queens’ 1-2 win against FC Robo Queens in Lagos was the solitary away win of the match week.

1 – Bayelsa Queens dropped points for the first time this season after a 0-0 draw with Heartland Queens.

1 – After defeats in its first two games, Heartland Queens picked its first point of the season with a 0-0 draw in Yenegoa.

2 – Delta Queens’ 3-0 win over Royal Queens was the team’s second win of the season after two games.

2 – Royal Queens’ 3-0 loss to Delta Queens was its second defeat of the season after three games.

2 – FC Robo Queens’ 1-2 defeat to Edo Queens was the Lagos Landladies’ second win of the season after three games.

2 – Edo Queens’ 1-2 win over FC Robo Queens was the Benin City-based side’s second win of the season after three games.

2 – Nasarawa Amazons also picked its second win of the season in three games after a 4-0 bashing of Ibom Angels.

2 – Ibom Angels got its second defeat of the season after three games with a 4-0 loss to Nasarawa Amazons.

2 – Impressive Adamawa Queens earned its second win of the season after two games with a 1-0 win over Confluence Queens.

3 – three players bagged braces in match week three; Mercy Omokwo (Delta Queens), Dooshima Tarnum (Nasarawa Amazons), and Blessing Emmanuel (Naija Ratels FC) all scored two goals for their teams.
