Martha Ruma of Vision Sports FC Bamenda put up a Woman of the Match performance as her team thrashed Kumbo Strikers Ladies 1#7 in the second day of play in the Women’s 2nd division championship in the North West region.
Martha Ruma scored a brace and provided a hat trick of assists for her team.
In the first half of the match, Vision Sports dominated the match. Their dominance paid off in the 36th minute of the match when Martha Ruma opened scores for her team. She doubled the lead at the stroke of half time.
In the second half of the match, Madaki Achick Kezia took two minutes to score a brace for Vision Sports; in the 51st minute and 53rd minute of the match to give her side a four goal lead.
Mispa Vinyuy scored an own goal before Lum Luisza and Yakadam Noelle made it 7 nil for Vision Sports.
With five minutes to the end of the match, Yvette Bih scored the lone goal for Kumbo Strikers Ladies.
The victory is the first for Vision Sports after they lost on the first day of play to Ita Mbong.
Kumbo Strikers Ladies is yet to pick up a point in two matches.
Earlier, Ita Mbong continued their fine start of the season with a 1#5 victory over Abakwa Girls.
Theresia Asuni opened scores for Abakwa Girls but a brace from Newu Lizette ands goals from Emmanuella Ngi, Gracious Nji and Vanessa Njebu handed all three points to Ita Mbong, their second win in two matches.
