French Ligue 1 club Stade Rennes have completed the signing of exciting Cameroonian defender Aboubakar Naguida from evergreen Cameroonian outlet EFBC.

Rennes officials announced the 18-year-old has joined the club on a five-year deal after completing medicals and other formalities over the weekend.

The left-back forms part of the successful generation of EFBC players born in or around 2004 that have since moved to France.

The versatile full-back can also play as a midfielder, something which he demonstrated during his six-year stay at his boyhood club.

Naguida was part of the Cameroon generation of U-17 players who suffered the disappointing of not experiencing their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) because Morocco pulled out as organizer at the eleventh hour.

French legion Carlos Baleba, Mughe Francois Regis, Jean Pierre Nkamga, Aboubakar Dalbai, Aboubakar Siddik all formed part of that generation of players, alongside others excelling in different parts of the World.
