Cameroonian defender, Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui provided an assist and kept the Gouan Beijing defense watertight in the 4-0 mauling of visiting Cangzhou in round 16 of the Chinese Super League championship this Wednesday.

The early fixture this afternoon at the Workers’ stadium in Beijing once again demonstrated Gouan’s home domination, especially with Ngadeu at his best.

In the eventful afternoon, Ngadeu assisted the first goal scored by Nigeria’s Samuel Adegbenro before finding the back of the net himself just after resumption for the second segment but they VAR crew chalked off the goal.

Fabio Abreu benefitted from an Adegbenro assist to make it 2-0 32 minutes into the contest which translates Gouan’s domination in the opening moments of the fixture.

Though coach Ricardo Soares’ team slowed down the tempo after scoring the early goals, they still found the back of the net late on to make the score more commanding.

Yang Liyu added the third deep into the second half, but it wasn’t enough as Wang Ziming scored a late penalty to make it 4-0 in the sixth minute of additional time.

Gouan held the advantage till the end. Thus adding three precious points to their tally after 16 games so far.

The win takes Gouan them up to the fourth spot in the 2023/24 Chinese Super League standings with 31 points so far.

Ngadeu has made 16 appearances this season for Gouan, from which he has scored once and made one assist.
