Cameroonian forward Franck Mbella Thierry Etouga has completed a successful eye surgery to correct eye complications caused by an injury from back in his days on the books of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

According to Egyptian Journalist Hady Elmadany the 21-year-old was operated this Monday under the guidance of the medical staff of his Egyptian club Al Masry.

Al Masry signed Mbella less than a year ago from Kotoko but the Port Said club will have to do without the player until he fully recovers in the months ahead.

Etouga is expected to be out of action for six months, meaning he is unavailable for coach Hossam Hasan for the rest of the current season.

Mbella joined the Egyptian side in the build up to the 2022/23 season after just a season at Kotoko.

He made eight appearances for Al Masry SC and scored once for the club.
