Lifestyle: Angu Lesley mentors young Reporters in DR Congo

Young but experienced Cameroonian Media Entrepreneur, Angu Lesley was a guest of honor and Media Officer for the training of young media officers in DR Congo through the weekend of March 14-16, 2024.

The Cameroonian Media investor who provides varied Media inputs for the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Union of Central African football Federation (UNIFFAC) and FIFA joined DR Congo’s Jerry Kalemo as resource persons in the training of over 30 young Congolese budding the intentions to become Media Officers.

The two-days event saw the resource persons guide their mentees on the the duties and obligations of a good Media Officer amongst other aspects of the game related to media operations.

While Kalemo delivered most of the theoretical aspects of the training, Angu who is CEO of Pan-African Sports portal – www.kuck442.com weighed in on pitch activities of a Media Officer on match days, ensuring the aspiring generation are drilled on their do’s and don’ts on Match-Day -1 and on match days.

At the end of the whole process, all of the trainees was received their certificates from  UNIFFAC president, Jean Guy Blaise Mayolas who expressed his satisfaction about the event and the enthusiasm of the upcoming generation.

Besides the young Reporters workshop, the new Dr Patrice Motsepe inspired project at CAF ensured young coaches, medical personnel and Referees also had a capacity building workshop.

On the pitch, the 2023 delayed African Football Schools championship which brought the region together ended on a high as Congo Republic won the U-15 boys and girl’s trophy.
