Kwara United on Sunday afternoon made Kwarans happy as they beat visiting Enyimba 2-1 in an explosive and fascinating NPFL battle at the Ilorin Stadium.

The Harmony Boys went into this game knowing fully well that they must get the three points, and they did themselves lots of good by not only recording a win, but played a fantastic game.

Emmanuel Ogbole’s brace was enough to give Kwara United a win over the Elephants who had their stand in Coach Yemi Olarenwaju sent off at the death.

Reacting after the final whistle, the General Manager of Kwara United Bashir Badawiy was in cloud nine as he thanked Kwarans for coming out to support the team.

“It was a great fight from my players and I am happy that we got the win even though it was not easy playing against one of the best teams in Nigeria.

“I want to thank the State Government under our amiable Governor AbdulRahman, the fans who filled the Stadium and all Kwarans for their support. Thank you.” Badawiy disclosed to reporters after the match.

Following the win over Enyimba, Kwara United now occupy 14th position on the NPFL table and will be facing 3SC in Ibadan this coming Tuesday in their next encounter.
