Top Cameroonian portal, kick442.com has been named Best online Sports outline for 2023 per the results transmitted by the Batonnier Akere Muna led jury.

The Cameroonian-based website fueled by an interesting group of young Africans picked the prize on Thursday evening at the Hilton Hotel as the Cameroon English Newspaper Publishers Association (CENPA)

CENPA knighted over 40 laureates in a glamorous event under the patronage of the country’s minister of Communication represented by his Secretary General, Felix Zogo.

In the presence of minister Felix Mbayu, former FECAFOOT vice President, Senator Mbella Moki Charles, am Hilltop Voices’ Bakah Derick announced kick442.com as the best online platform in Cameroon for 2023 to a loud ovation from the packed hall.

CEO, Angu Lesley represented the team, and received the award from the hands of Cameroon’s post and telecommunications minister, Libom Li Likeng née Mendomo Minette.

The CENPA which groups 35 English Language Newspaper Publishers was created a few years back to promote national unity, peace reporting and responsible Journalism will make one of its landmark moves by awarding best Media practitioners, administrators and politicians.
At the end of the event, organizers were praised for constituting a jury of substance – with reputable Cameroonians from the Media, Administrative, Business and Legal corps.

The Jury made up of Barrister Akere Muna, Senator Nfon Ekoto Mukete, Esther Omam and Legendary Ngah Christian Mbipgo of The Guardian Post Newspaper did a reference job that will serve as a foundation for more in future.
Besides the awards, The Guardian Post launched a magazine highlighting 30 years of Humanitarian works of Madam Chantal Biya – a piece which was appreciated by many who attended the event.
Over 30 national and international Media organizations attended the unprecedented expected to be the turning point in the life of Journalism in Cameroon.

The event has shown attributes of the kind of Award ceremonies that many have craved for over the years, being able to be different from the loose way of sharing awards in our society these days.
