Kevin Soni bids farewell to Hatayspor

Cameroon international Kevin Soni has said goodbye to fans and stakeholders of Turkish club Hatayspor.

The midfielder took to his Instagram on February 28, to share a hearty message to his now former team , thanking them for their hospitality and interest.

“I will like to thank the people of Hatay for your hospitality and interest . I am leaving the Hatayspor with sadness. Thank you,” explains Soni.

The indomitable lions midfielder who narrowly escaped the 7.8 earthquake that struck Turkey on February 6, accompanied his message with words of condolences to the families of the deceased .

“First of all I extend my deepest condolences to all those who have lost their lives or are missing as a result of the earthquake.During this time I wish for patience and strength to all,who are worried about their families and loved ones,” he added.

Soni could not help but also reminisce on his time spent with his late friend and teammate Christian Atsu.The Ghanaian player is one of the earthquake victims.

“I lost my friend in this earthquake Atsu, I talked with him after the goal.I will miss his joy, personality and humanity so much.”

The 24-year old has spent six months with Hatayspor. He was loan from Asteras Tripolis last September and has featured in three games for Turkish side Hatayspor, offering one assist.
