Karl Toko Ekambi to join Al Shabab?

Olympique Lyonnais striker Karl Brilliant Toko Ekambi could be on his way to Saudi Arabia top-flight side Al Shabab. The former Villareal forward has given a huge hint about the transfer on social media.

The former SCO Angers man made the move on Monday when he followed the club on Instagram which to some hints that he will be joining the Saudi Pro side.

Marc Vivian Foe Award winner in 2018 and an outstanding scorer in France over the years, the Paris-born Cameroon international already informed officials of Lyon to negotiate his transfer out after weeks of a tense atmosphere between him and Lyon fans.

For a while now Toko has not been in his best of form. Since the appointment of Laurent Blanc as head coach of the club in October his game time to an unsatisfactory proportion.

The striker’s social media post could be an indication and also a message of what is to came.

Karl Toko Ekambi has scored four goals and made two assists in 19 matches so far in the 2022/2023 Ligue 1 season.
