Since the start of the 2023/2024 season, one of the standout players for Bamenda-based elite one club Yong Sports Academy has been versatile midfielder Junior Nguimbat.
The playmaker who can play as a left back, attacking midfielder and a winger is a joy to watch for Yong Sports Academy every matchday.
The Yong Sports Academy set piece specialist has been involved in more than 50% of Yong Sports Academy goals this season.
He has provided five assists so far this season, two against Fauve Azur, two against Apejes, one against UMS Loum.
Junior Nguimbat joined Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda at the start of the current season from Dynamo of Douala and he made his debut for Yong Sports Academy against Coton Sports in Garoua.
Before joining YOSA, he travelled to Gabon where his move didn’t materialize due to the suspension of the Gabonese championship.
Junior Nguimbat and his YOSA teammates are on a run of four consecutive victories without conceding any goal.
