Junior Kemajou’s lone goal from the penalty spot was all Bamboutos FC needed to beat YAFOOT 1-0 on match day 12 of the MTN Elite One championship.

Kemajou’s 61st minute penalty after the big forward was brought down in the box by a desperate challenge from Atangana Mbarga.

Bamboutos of Mbouda were guilty of poor defending on numerous occasions but did enough to walk away with maximum points.

Both sides entered the contest needing a result after dissatisfactory results last time out.

The first chance of the afternoon fell to Kemajou ten minutes into the contest but he shot wide from close range.

Chances were at a premium in the rest of the first 45 minutes as both sides evened each other.

Bamboutos FC had the biggest opportunity 15 minutes into the second half when Kamajou was brought down at the expense of a penalty.

The big forward got up, dust himself and converted to give the Mangwa Boys the lead.

Bamboutos held the lead to the end to back home maximum points.

Kemajou’s sixth goal of the season was enough to seal a sixth win in 12 for the Mangwa Boys who go five points atop second place Fovu of Baham.
