Ivan Berthauld has put his preferred right foot to great effect in this year’s National Interpools, helping his side Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe to the final, and most importantly, to an Elite Two ticket.

The competition hit exclamation point on Thursday 28, with South West representatives (ISOHSA) picking up a ticket to the national division two Championship.

Berthauld has been a regular starter for Nlend Ayme’s side; mostly deployed as a midfeild anchor, playing ahead of Ashu Brice and Chi Alex in a 3-man midfeild.

Berthauld started 3 out of 6 games in the competition, dishing out one assists in the process.

The youngster who only made his debut for the club this season, wowed in the south west regional championship, and then, carried his form to the national Interpools.

Berthauld’s solid performances have linked him to top-tier sides next season with a queue of clubs on the waiting list.

The creative midfielder and co will be in action on Sunday, July 30 when ISOHSA play cross-country rivals Bafmeng, at the Ngoa Ekelle stadium.
