Emmanuel Laura Ebassa has hailed his time in the Indomitable Lions den describing it as ‘a special moment’ he left a one week camp with the country’s senior men’s team.

Ebassa, who also camped with Rigobert Song’s Indomitable Lions squad in June was in the 26 man squad that spent a week at the Mundi Complex preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

His appearance in camp with legendary striker and captain of the national team Vincent Aboubakar showed he is made of something special, just needing time to hit full potential.

“I’m really happy, as you can see,” Ebassa told kick442.com “To camp with the Lions and just be part of this team celebrated in front of 60,000 fans and to have my family here, it’s special.

“I probably won’t think about it for a couple of days and then it will hit me.’

“This week has been crazy. It’s been really surreal, to be honest. I knew I’d be coming into a great camp, with a great manager and great players.

“Training was good; the standards were very, very high. Coming to the game on Wednesday, my first time with the Senior Lions at Mfadena, it’s a special moment.”

Ebassa is seen as one of Cameroon football’s brightest prospects.

Last season he scored nine goals and provided four assist for legendary Tonerre of Yaounde.

The 18-year-old didn’t make the FIFA World Cup squad, but just being in the provisional squad and training with the first team shows how far he has come.

Ebassa, who is eligible for the intermediate and Olympic Lions will be hoping to play get a chance in either national team in the nearest future or why not develop more to be ready for the senior national team.
