Canon Sportif filles of Yaounde and AS AWA FF, have been hit hard with sanctions by the homologation and discipline commission of the Cameroon Football Federation, for absenting from games in the 2022_2023 Guiness Super League.
The Cameroon women’s top tier championship dubbed the Guinness Super League, kicked off on January 14, for the 2022_2023 football season, but since then Canon Filles is yet to play any game, as the league enters day four action this weekend.
Canon Filles turned up with two teams in their match day one game against Eding FF, before their day two game against AS AWA FF was called off for similar reasons. Their day three game against Lekie FF was pushed forward to later date.
Amidst the infighting within Canon Sportif filles, the Homologation and discipline commission of the Cameroon Football Federation, has ditched out sanctions on the team.
According to a decisions published on January 25th by the Commission, Canon FF is considered to have loss their game against Eding FF by forfeiture, with three goals conceded, zero goal scored. The decision went further to stated that Canon Filles will lost three points on the general classification table, which means that the club now has a minus three points, as they currently have zero point.
Defending Champions AS AWA FF, has also been hit by thet homologation commission. After a 4#0 win over Caiman FF on game week one, AS AWA’s day two game against Eding FF did not hold as initially planned.
Just like Canon Filles, the homologation commission says AS AWA FF has lost the match by forfeiture, zero goal scored and three goals conceded, with the team also losing three points on the general classification table. It means that AS AWA now has zero point on the League’s table.
With six points and six goals gained from these two games, it means that Eding FF has gone top of the Guinness Super League with nine points and a plus seven goals.
The only game Eding has played this season was their 1#0 away win against Ngadeu FF on game week three.
Canon Filles and AS AWA FF have 10 days to appeal the decision.
