Georges Mandjeck returns to the Israelites

Veteran Cameroonian midfielder Georges Constant Mandjeck has secured a move to Israeli Premier League side Ironi Kyriat Shmona on a one-year deal.

The marks the end of his six months spell without a job, dating from male this year when he left Cypriot side Nea Salamis.

The club becomes the 10th to have the Kadji Sports Academy graduate as their affiliate as he returns to the land he previously played for Macabi Tel Aviv between 2018-2019 and made 35 appearances.

Mandjeck, 34, has been brought to the club to add to their experience, especially in the midfield area of the team.

The globetrotter with French Ligue 1, German Bundes Liga, Turkish Super Lig and more experience is expected to create an instant impact at his new club as he did in his early days at Vfl Stuttgart, FC Metz, Auxerre, Stade Rennes, Slavia Prague Waasland Beveren amongst others.

Mandjeck who counts over 200 competitive games under his belt is in the twilight of a glittering career that has seen him feature in the UEFA Champions League and won the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as one of the highlights of his journey in the beautiful game.
