Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene continued in her fine form on Saturday as she converted a penalty to help CSKA Moscow Ladies dispatch Chertanovo 5-0 on Saturday in match day 19 of the Women’s Russian Premier League.
Fresh from the FIFA World Cup, Nigeria’s Francisca Ordega scored twice while Tatiana Petrova and Yulia Myasnikova got the other goals as the league leaders added three points to maintain their grip at the top.
Ordega silenced the home fans as early as the 15th minute when she fired visitors in front, rewarding them after a dominant passage of play.
The hosts improved after conceding, pushing CSKA into to defend deep in their half and break through counters.
Though both sides had chances to cause another goal celebration for fans at the Arena Chertanovo, the score remained 1-0 till the break.
Petrova got the second for the visitors just after the break, before Aboudi converted a penalty to make it 3-0 just after the hour mark.
Ordega completed her brace, making it 4-0 with 25 minutes left on the clock as Chertanovo were in for another long afternoon.
The final moments of the game were about damage limitation. Even at that, CSKA got a fifth goal through Myasnikova.
Cameroon’s Tatiana Ewodo replaced Ordega late on in the game after CSKA had sealed the results.
The win is the club’s 18th in 19 games this season, giving them a one point lead on Zenith with 53 points after 19 games this season.
Aboudi has scored 13 goals in 19 games for the aspiring Russian Premier League this season.
