Aboubakar once more showed how good he is again with a stellar performance after coming on in the second half as super sub against Serbia.

Cameroonian striker came on with the lions trailing to Serbia and immediately imposed his quality to add up to Cameroon’s momentum.

Coming on in the 55th minute, Vincent needed less than 10minutes to score and set up Choupo Moting for the third drawing the game to equity.

In this effect, Vincent Aboubakar becomes the first African to come on as a substitute and score and assist in a FIFA World Cup game.

His goal and assist came when the spirit of the lions was down as they were losing 3-1 to Serbia and immediately reminded us of the past lions’ come back moments.

Many have asked for coach Rigobert Song to pair Aboubakar and Choupo upfront and what we saw today goes a long way to make the gaffer go in for this in his formation against Brazil.

The Man of the match award was the add on credit Aboubakar Vincent got from his impact on the game with a point to show for keeping the indomitable lions in contention for qualification.

Cameroon has Brazil to take on in their last game of the group stage and possibility of having captain Aboubakar lead the team out the tunnel is what the streets expect.

Talking with Kick442 this afternoon, Sports Journalist Yuh Joshua said Aboubakar is one of the finest and big game players Cameroon has had and should start every game. We saw him step up in the 2017 AFCON final against Egypt in Gabon with the winner, we also saw him step up in Cameroon against Burkina Faso in AFCON 2021 classification game and today he again was just the better version of himself.”

Cameroon needs more of the big game moments in Qatar and they need to give their all to make this happen. “Coach Rigobert Song should pair Vincent Aboubakar and Choupo Moting upfront against Brazil and watch the clutch moments happen”, Yuh concluded.

Cameroon is up against Brazil in their last group stage game and a win is all the indomitable lions need in other to be in a qualification debate.
