Union legend appointed General Manager

Joel Babanda Moise has been appointed General Manager of five time Elite one champions, Union Sportive of Douala. The appointment was announced by the club’s board this Wednesday, July 12.

The 39-year-old who use to be a striker for USD, joins the club once again to play the role of an administrator.

The former Cotonsport of Garoua and Racing of Bafoussam player, represented Union from the 2011 to 2014 football season where he made 16 appearances and scored 25 goals.

The new GM was top scorer of the league in 2012 and doubled as champion of Cameroon with Union of Douala.

“I am happy that the Management of the Union thought of me to continue my story with the club… It is with great enthusiasm that I assume this role and the opportunity to serve this club again in another way. With your support, we will sure achieve a lot of great things,” Babanda said.

Babanda now has the responsibility of leading the club’s administration and with experience as a player, he has an added advantage of getting along well and executing the responsibilities bestowed on him.
