Egyptian Premier League giants Pyramids FC have completed the signing of Nigerian U-20 forward Tolulope Ojo.

The 19-year-old has completed his medical and signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the club.

The Cairo-based team which is currently placed 2nd on the Premier League table was formed in 2008, and known then as Al Assiouty Sport in Beni Seuf, before it was bought and moved to Cairo in 2018.

Ojo had a breakthrough season with Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Remo Stars in the 2021/2022 campaign which saw him earn a call-up to the National U-20 squad.

He was part of the Flying Eagles side that won the 2022 West Africa Football Union Zone B (WAFU-B) tournament.

Tolulope scored two goals to help the Flying Eagles win the U-20 WAFU Cup last year.

He is expected to join the Flying Eagles, as they prepare to conquer Africa next month at the U-20 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Nigeria has been drawn with Egypt, Senegal, and Uganda in the tournament.
