Southampton and German defender of Cameroonian origin Armel Bella-Ketchop has paid a courtesy visit to the Cameroon National Football Academy (ANAFOOT) general manager, Enow Ngachu in Yaounde.

The 21-year-old big sweeper was the attraction at the institution’s headquarters in the Hypodrome neighborhood this Wednesday.

Bella whose family resides in Cameroon took advantage of his short end of season break to discuss issues around the beautiful game and development of the ANAFOOT project.

Though there were no official reactions after the in-camera working session between both, kick442.com understands such meetings could serve as a bolster for both institutions.

Bella will pep talk ANAFOOT trainees during a special event on Saturday.

Bella was born of Cameroonian father and a German father. The native of the center region of the Central African nation however opted to pledge his allegiance in sports to the German Manschaft just before the 2022 FIFA World Cup late last year, but his latest moves manifests his attachment to his home and more.

Bella provided two assists in 24 Premier League games last season operating as a central defender for relegated Southampton.

The €20-rated defender has featured twice for Germany’s senior national selection after walking his way up through the age category teams.
