Cameroon’s former captain Rigobert Song has delivered a substantial assist to school children in Nkenglikok, providing them with a significant consignment of educational materials.

On Saturday, September 14, 2024, nearly 500 pupils from primary and secondary schools in the Nkenglikok area in the south region of Cameroon, were the beneficiaries of vital school supplies from the Rigobert Song Foundation.

This event marked the successful conclusion of the first phase of the second edition of the “Back To School” initiative.

In a lively and supportive atmosphere, the former coach of the Indomitable Lions engaged with students through an invigorating sports walk and a community event held the day prior. He also took the opportunity to distribute additional supplies to school administrators, ensuring they have the resources needed for a successful academic year.

Rigobert Song expressed his unwavering commitment to education, emphasizing his desire for every child to have access to schooling, one he wasn’t privileged to get. Through his foundation, he continues to champion various social causes and raise awareness in the community.

Last December, Song led a sports walk focused on promoting awareness about cardiovascular health across several cities in Cameroon, reinforcing his dedication to public health initiatives that resonate with his passion for sports and community well-being.
