The Sand Eagles will face Mauritania in the qualifiers of the 2024 BSAFCON with the chance of hitting the sand for the first time since 2019 when the team was disbanded.
The presence of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) which is in its fourth straight season served as a launch pad for the team.
Record winners and holders Senegal were drawn against Guinea while Morocco which reached the semi-final in 2022 are up against Angola.
Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire will face off in the battle of two teams from West Africa.
Tanzania will square up against Uganda while the host of the next FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Seychelles will trade tackles with Mozambique.
Burundi against Malawi complete the qualifications pairing.
The first leg is scheduled for July 19 to 21 while the return leg is bulled for July 26 to 28, 2024.
Seven teams that qualified will join host, Egypt at the BSAFCON, a tournament which serves as qualifiers for the next FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
