Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe will be without Nelson Ngange Jnr for the second game running this Wednesday when they make their third outing at the 2023 national Interpools.

The key midfielder has made just one second-half appearance in the competition as he battles to recover from typhoid fever which has troubled him since the Southwest Regional League champions arrived in Yaounde for the national Interpools last Friday.

Ngange who plays as a central defender and midfielder for the Limbe outfit played all but one of the club’s league games this season but struggled with injuries during the mini interpools and sickness now. His absence is a big setback for coach Nlend’s team as he contributed a lot to the game of the squad this campaign.

The midfielder who counts 14 appearances this season is expected to miss this Wednesday’s game against Sporting FC of Maroua, but he has medical clearance to return to training on Thursday ahead of Sunday’s game against Academie Nyom 2.

ISOHSA are yet to fit full gear during the 2023 national interpools. The eight-year-old club has played out two draws so far but have their destiny in their hands.

A win in their remaining two games takes them through to the next stage of the competition as one of the two clubs from group A to play the winner-takes-it-all semi-final.

ISOHSA is bidding to be the second club from the Southwest to graduate to Elite 2 in the past two interpools.
